  1. i agree with pat robertson becuase haiti is a country that is in need and it is wierd that the dominican republic shares an island with them and they aren't in trouble like haiti is. pat robertson has a good point and i think this whole thing is blown out of apportion. he pulled out factional events that happen haiti did have a pack with the french but i dont know if the devil cursed them and if they ask the devil to help them out.

  2. well the video really didnt have alot of information in it but what was said i dont think that everyone believes in the 'devil' and that the 'devil' cursed the people of haiti. Just because they have not been the best place to live because of weather conditioins and economic times does not mean the 'devil' cursed them. Also just because haiti asked for the devils help to get out of the frenchs grasp doesnt mean that he did (if he is real)and i just dont think that the 'devil' has anything to do wityh haiti.

  3. I have to say that Pat Robinson is really stupid in what he said. The fact that Haiti made a "pact" with the devil and thats why things are bad forthem is highly unreasonable. And the whole thing with the Dominican Republic is doing good and Haiti is not has nothing to do with the fact that they are on the same island. The true and logical reason is that they have two seperate governments and it has been known that Haiti's government has been spending the money of the country wrong so thats why they have been bad. Where is the proof that Haiti made a pact with the devil. It seems like a story that was passed down or even a racial story. I say that because it seems like they could think that there was no way Haiti could revolt and drive out the French without some kind of help, and back in those times Haiti was looked at as a place of witch doctors and things like that so i could easily see how the story could be formed. THe fact that this man is really trying to push this is ridicolous. There are alot more logical explainations that could be made that explain the hardships that Haiti is going through and a curse by the devil is not it. This is not the movie Ghost Rider, this is real life, lets be foreal here no. This video really upset me and the i know there will be people who will believe it and that upsets me highly. I believe in christ and all that but this guy here is out of his mind. He needs to do some real study on the history of Haiti before her makes a statement like the one he did in this interview

    ReplyDelete
  4. Well rasheed maybe the leaders of haiti do not know how to run it so they just cant handle money. and the weather conditions like a random earthquake doesnt help either because then u have to fix places after a disaster like that

    ReplyDelete
  5. well joe the devil is real. i know im not a great person and all, but my religion is christianity. which means i believe in God and the devil does exist, but what i do agree with is that because they live in a bad climate doesnt mean that the devil curse them

    ReplyDelete
  6. I agree with devonte in the fact that pat robinsonis ridiculous in what he is trying to say is ridiculous and that it isnt the movie ghost rider. There are also many logical explanations on what happened like natural disasters or the government spemding money on all the wrong things. so devontei agree completely

    ReplyDelete
  7. Well rasheed the devil can be thought of as real or not depending on who you are and what u believe in

    ReplyDelete
  8. Rasheed i am sorry but you make no sense at all. Haiti had no pact with French. The French controlled Haiti and after some years the people of Hait revolted. The only fact in this here is that at on point in time the French ruled Haiti. The Dominican Republic is doing better then Haiti because there are two seperate governments, and everyone knows that Haiti's government is terrible and they spend the money on other things instead of trying to make Haiti better. The earthquake is a freak of nature, it can't be predicted. Haiti is in need of help, but first a new government is needed. Then help can come once that happens. So Pat Robinson made a dumb point in this here not a good one

    ReplyDelete
  9. All I'm saying is.
Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil.
Pat Robinson is terrified of the devil.
And Rob Pattinson is an asshole.

Also. My computer is old as hell so i can't watch the video. I'll watch it on noah's.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I really don't believe in devil or what sort but I believe that maybe they are more in a crisis econmically and naturally. As in the video summary stated that it is weird that the Dominican Republic had nothing happen to them thought they both live in the same island. But it can be proven through modern technology and thurough research that the govenment is not very stable there.

    ReplyDelete
  11. devonte you dont even know what you are talking about because in this link it displays that haiti had a pack with france. read and love it. before you make assumptions know your facts

  12. you cant handle the devil, the devil is too much, but seriously this is mad dumb. Its interesting to see the woman next to him agreeing to every word. If the devil was real I dont know how concerned he'd be about Haiti.

    ReplyDelete
  13. wow, i dont agree that the people of Haiti brought this upon themselves and this is caused by a pack with the devil. Thge only thing i agree with is we should help them and give them as much ad aswe cn but they didnt deserve this. Its caused by a natural disaster and not an act of the devil

    ReplyDelete
  14. I agree with devonte that the devil has nothing to do with Haiti, it all very ridiculus. also many things can be logically explained.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Has no one heard of the Haitian religion of Vaudou? Because that is the predominant religion of Haiti. Nothing to do with Satanism. Maybe people should read about stuff, before they start babbling about the devil... Also, Robert Johnson is simply trying to get attention

    ReplyDelete
  16. Okay i will have to say that i just think that this video is stupid. I do believe that their is a devil but i dont not think that haiti went through this because they agreed with the devil. I honestly think it has to do with the type of govt that they have and whos running it. Its not anyones fault that earthquakes happen in haiti. so that isnt to blame anyone

    ReplyDelete
  17. I think he's crazy. I don't think the earthquake or the fact that Haiti is poor have anything to do with the devil. Eathquakes happen all over the world...so we must all be cursed by the devil....

    ReplyDelete
  18. i agree with lin and devontw that this has nothing to do with the devil this guy needs something else to talk about. Theres a whole lot of other things that can just be wrong

    ReplyDelete
  19. lol amanda i also agree with you. it seems that we all believe the same thing except rasheed lol but yea noone can be blame for an earthquake

    ReplyDelete
  20. I agree with Amy.
I don't believe in things I like that. I don't think you can blame a natural disaster and a poor economy on the devil.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Well THAT was ridiculous. And condescending, and ignorant. Ummmm.

Yea so please explain to me how come New Orleans had a terrible hurricane but it didn't affect Mississipi even though Mississippi is right next to Louisianna, and they are two different states on the SAME big island of North America??? CLEARLY it must mean that new orleans made a pact with the devil... hmmmmm.
And OBVIOUSLY the 2004 tsunami destoryed the entire region surrounding the Indian ocean because those people all had it coming, and must all have made a pact with the devil.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I agree with felisa that instead with all this devil stuff people should more concerned in helping the Haiti people. I mean if Pat Robinson was to say it this way then wouldn't he be saying that the natural diasters are done by the devil.

    ReplyDelete
  23. i agree with zthoeri that we should take in considerationg of their religion but i dont think they brought this natural disaster on themselves with their voduism

    ReplyDelete
  24. i agree with zthoeri and think that a refusal to accept the validity of an native religion/faith does not give someone standing upon which to declare that the Haitians clearly must be consorting with the "devil", simply because they are not "consorting with Christ". That is simply bigoted.

    ReplyDelete
  25. First off I didn’t know the devil control which counties get affected by an earthquake. Pat Robertson is stupid in thinking they have anything to do with each other. All I know is that Haiti is in trouble and needs help from other countries in order to get them back to where they were before the earthquake.

    ReplyDelete
  26. i agree with lyla I wonder what he would say about new orleans and every other natural disaster. would the say they made a pact with the devil?

    ReplyDelete
  27. I agree with Lyla
This guy just doesn't make sense. What happened in Haiti is terrible, and the conditions were bad to begin with but you can't say that they made a pact with the devil and now they're being punished for it. He's just trying to get attention, he says that the people of Haiti need to find God...

    ReplyDelete
  28. I have nothing more to say on this article.
I refuse to even waste my time pondering such blantant absurdity.

    ReplyDelete
  29. this whole thing is an endless arguement. It depends on what you believe and what pat robertson believes is christ which makes the bad guy the devil. If anything goes wrong its going to be the devil's fault, if you dont take part in that religion you can try to argue with what he said allday but it doesnt make you right. I believe that the all the facts in this matter where incorrect. Pat Robertson doesnt know what he was talking about and Raymond Joseph didnt even know his own land's history.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I agree with lyla and zthoeri just because they are not Christian does not mean that they believe in the devil. Just saying that is ignorant.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I dont think it was the right time for Robertson to say that Haiti was cursed i mean thousands of people have died and he is blaming them for their own deaths. It was really an ignorant comment to say. Who cares if one part of the island is better off than the other our main priorty should be help those in need. Everyone believes in something different but i think people should be careful what they say and when they say it. and clearly this was the wrong time for Roberstson to make such a bold comment. These people lives should not be dictated on something that people believe happened years ago. Robertson should be trying to help the people in distress instead o critizing them and pointing the finger on them. Right now their god or the devil ccan just appear and make everything good again in the snap of a finger they need much more than hope.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Thats some crazy stuff. i wouldnt doubt if its true thought. Recently ive ben hearing alot about people turing to the devil for help which i think is extremly weird. however Raymond Joseph had a good point. While Robert Pattinson is talking all that junk, because of the "pact" the US did gain alot. but at the same time Robert pattinson is only one person and he doesnt speak for everybody in the US so that lady really didnt have to say sorry because not evenrybody believes that. i also feel that Robert pattinson was a jerk for saying that, it wasnt a good time to bring that up after all those people died. its a really hard time for them and the last thing they want to hear is something else negative. in summation Robert Pattinson is a creeper.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Did Rasheed pay attention in Global?

    ReplyDelete
  34. I disagree with Pat Robinson. Just because Haiti is in "desperate poverty" doesnt leabe the notion that it was the devil. Why does it have to be the devil did that? He couldnt have came up with another excuse. Haitian ambassador is coming off a little ironic because he stating that if Haiti did make a pact with the devil then thats the reason the U.S is so strong today.

    ReplyDelete
  35. i agree with red cherry's. everyoone needs to put their religion aside because us speaking about the word and the devil isn't helping and Raymond really needs a lesson on his history but it doesn't intirely matter because i think roberston was stil in the wrong

    ReplyDelete
  36. in response to lyla and stephanie:

I totally understand what you are saying but you cant argue religion, there is no right or wrong no matter what you believe in if anything at all. he was simply stating what he believed in as we are all doing right now. i cant say " oh nope, you are soooo wrong, it was the devil" but i cant also say no it wasnt. It depends on what you believe in the only diffence is that he decided to share his feelings on tv

    ReplyDelete
  37. i agree with denisha regards of the situation. wrong place at the wrong time.

    ReplyDelete
  38. did ztheori hit his head on a rock....

    ReplyDelete
  39. I agree with DEVONTE. Haiti and Dominican Republic have two totally different governments. Earthquakes happen everywhere in the world. So does that mean that wherever an earthquake happens they made a pact with the devil.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I agree with Michelle just because the country is poor does no mean that they praise the devil or anything.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I agree with jala..im really sick of people blaming everything that bad happens on the devil...the devil did this or...he aint nothin but the devil or the devil is a liar...frankly alot of people in the u.s uses these phrases..why? i dont kno?

    ReplyDelete
  42. I think people will believe what they want to believe even if they no its not true. I believe in different religious things, but dont believe thats what cause the earth quake

    ReplyDelete
  43. how about the fact that Pat Robertson made it seem like the whole island of Haiti sat down with the devil and had tea and cookies as they asked him for his help and he simply replied with "okay, its a deal". Riggggghhhtt?

    ReplyDelete
  44. I agree with FELISA. Haiti needs our help and instead of accusing them of bringing disaster upon themselves we should be helping them...people did die or get injured!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Rasheed spells as if HE hit his head on a rock...

    ReplyDelete
  46. I completely agree with devonte because form watching the video i was offended as well. i feel that pat robertson is closed minded and dillusional and i also believe that the root of his statement was some handed down racial myth

    ReplyDelete
  47. Old white people say crazy stuff. This guy is particularly crazy. Claiming that Haiti has made a pact with the devil causing them to be cursed is just ridiculous. The fact that this statement is being issued all over the world now is even more ridiculous. Immedietly after it was said, it should have been ignored and he should have been banned from ever speaking again. Period.
This is a crucifixtion and he will be remembered for alot longer then he deserves.
Haiti is just a poor country that is getting beat down by mother nature. If anything, this is gods fault. You old bastard.

Also. That woman in the video is just as ignorant as him for allowing him to say that and agreeing with him.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Zthoeri:

I agree with you about the Haitian religion. People will jump to conclude that Haiti deals with the devil becuase they heard someone say so and don't know any better. So much for the spread of information in the computer and internet age.

Tripe is spread just as easy, if not more than truth.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Pat Robertson looked so familiar. Haha Ive seen this guy before on the 700 club tv program. This man is right about Haiti facing ongoing promblems but Im not so sure theres this such thing as a curse on them. Watching this guy speak, anyone is likely to think hes a looney ben. And what with him speaking as if he was a witness of what he spoke of...the devil and all that.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Haha I completly agree with Jala. Thats funny! I highly dought that the devil actually hand a talk with the humane people on earth. Pat Robertson is telling basically a conspiracy. But because of the whole reliious thing he has going on, yes he is one to say that the devil would do such things.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Vlad is right! I dont being the devil or a curse is even close to causing of the earthquake. I believe its just a scientific thing and environmental thing.

    ReplyDelete
  52. In response to Rasheed, he pulled out factual events? Do you really believe Haiti made a pack with the devil and if so you're basically saying that the country deserved what it got. Haiti rebelled against France for their freedom and if you think they had to have help from "the devil" to free themselves, well i'll just say thats very interesting...

    ReplyDelete
  53. I think this whole thing is just kinda ridiculous but things like this have been going on since the beginning of time. If something terrible happens oh of course it was not just a natural disaster or maybe the fault of someones actions, just blame it on the devil. Pat Robertson is basically making a point that his almighty god is not strong enough to protect the innocent children of Haiti from the wrath of the devil. He just seems so hypocritical

    ReplyDelete
  54. Wow. It is crazy how people will misconstrue anything and everything as anything and everything else. Pat Robertson has crazy ideas and has somehow made a name for himself by expressing them. The sickest part i think is not that this single man has these lunatic ideas, but that he is respected and people believe his word as can be seen at the end when the lady agrees with him.

His ideas are plain ridiculous and crazy, and have no backing at all. I feel like people like this would just go away if people did not give them unneeded attention like we are all doing now.'

He is a voice of clarity for some people, glad i'm not one of them.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I'm not sure how I feel about this. While I believe in God and the Devil I highly doubt that Haiti made a pact with the Devil to get its freedom. If thats the case did America need to make the same pact to get free from Britain?...im just gonna post this now and finish tomorrow

    ReplyDelete
  56. Natural disaster is not something that can be avoided. It's nature. Pat Robertson is a televangelist so I don't think people should really be taking him seriously anyway. Yeah he's wrong and that is a shocking thing to say but why does his one opinion cause such an uproar?

    ReplyDelete
  57. What is this dude talking about? Number one, I don't think there is a devil to begin with. Number two, this is so ridiculous that it shouldn't even be aired. and number three, the fact that people are now discussing this is ridiculous. Pat whatever is just trying to get attention to Christianity. Mother nature just tends to put her wrath towards Haiti. It has nothing to do with religion. Just because the Dominican Republic is on the same island doesn't mean that the Haitians sold their souls. That's like saying the people of New Orleans sold their souls but the rest of America didn't. I don't understand his reasoning behind his words.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I agree with Zoe when she said that people shouldn't believe him anyways. but I think that it's such an uproar because he IS on national television and therefore what he says is heard by millions of people and their opinions are gonna be just as bold as his.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I agree with Melissa. Pat RObinson does speak as if he was there to witness what happened all those years ago. He has no factual evidence to back this up so he should just stop presuming and quit while he's behind.

    ReplyDelete
  60. If there's a heaven, I don't think Pat Robinson is going to be in it. Sucks because he's been working so hard to get into it.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I agree with Venessa. Americans obviously made a pact with a devil. That means Pat Robinson has too. Oh look, the devil is coming to get him now.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I agree with Denisha. It's not right that an entire island that's suffering from an unavoidable disaster and obviously doesn't have the money to repair everything is now getting blamed for something that was out of their control.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Candice I agree with you but I feel he just was having a bad day and wasn’t thinking straight and had his history mixed up but it was pretty scary

    ReplyDelete
  64. Well tyler i dont think 'having a bad day' is a valid excuse for blaming religious misconseptions on a natural disaster

    ReplyDelete
  65. First off this guy is crazy he needs to get slapped by that woman next to him it truly is just sad what he said and was totally wrong. But also not true he needs to go review his history books. It’s these types of guys that give America the bad rep.

    ReplyDelete
  66. i agree with devonte in that Pat has no proof or basis on which he can say something as ridiculous. i understand where this idea might come from but it doesnt laydown a foundation for this. i also agree with the fact that different governments are going to run their countries differently.

    ReplyDelete
  67. in response to candice how about a really really bad day and hey if thats what he belives he is crazzy but he has the write to belive what he wants

    ReplyDelete
  68. I agree with vladimir, people are going tobelieve what they want and are too stubborn to change. i dont know about the earthquakes

    ReplyDelete
  69. Emily says:
i think that the comment he made was at the wrong place wrong time. and that the devil is not what causes an earthquake. so stating that is untrue.

    ReplyDelete
  70. The last thing Haiti need right now is for there to be absurd accusations of satanic pacts. A massive earthquake is bad enough. Religious nuts are known for making stupid claims. I think the saddest part of this whole thing is that this man believes he is so righteous and holy in his remark. He knows that what he said is controversial but he feels as though he is delivering a glorious message. Depressing.

    ReplyDelete
  71. i agree with stephanie on that the devil doesnt decide where an eathquake happens. but the people of Hati do need our help considering that their the poorest country on this side of the hemisphere.

    ReplyDelete
  72. In response to Tyler
im not saying that he doesn't have the right to believe what he wants but obviously by looking at this entire situation some people value his opinion...which is sad because it makes the entire country look bad.

    ReplyDelete
  73. i agree with amy on the fact that you cant accuse hati's economy and this earthquake on the devil.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Alright so the videos were kind o f hard to understand because they took a while to download, but i think it is kind of weird that Robertson is making these comments that Haiti, "made a pact with the devil." Is he saying this is a demonic place? It seems a bit controversal. It was a disrespectful comment, and probably not a comment to be made during this day and time. This is one of those opinions better kept to ones self. No matter, Haiti is need of help not that of demeaning unnecessary comments.

    ReplyDelete
  75. The earthquake in Haiti is a complete tragedy. Many people in the U.S. and in Haiti have been affected by the quake and aid is on its way. Hopefully the aid needed to save lives, and shelter people will come faster than the aid for Hurrican Katrina in New Orleans, LA came. For the videos, they took a very long time to load, and I could not really hear them, so it is hard for me to respond to them. From what I did understand, Robertson said that the reason that Haiti is in so much despair is because of a "pact with the devil." I do not know much about the history of Haiti, and do not know this story, but it is coming from a Christian broadcasting show, the 700 club. Before the 700 club comes on television, there is a statement saying that the broadcasting network does not agree with the messages shown. If a message like that has to be shown before the show, it is obvious that the views of the show are controversial to say the least. Because of this, and what Roberstson said, it is obvious that the Haitian ambassador would react the way he did. I believe that Haiti needs aid now, not accusations from deals that may or may not have taken place in the past.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I agree completely with Peter. Robertson's ideas seem greatly skewed and although they may seem crazy to us, surely many people follow them. It is interesting how people can be manipulated into different ways of thinking.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I agree with owen, the statement was totally uncalled for, and really was not needed in a time of despair. Robertsons comments were very unrighteous and shows his own narrow-mindedness.

    ReplyDelete
  78. It is ridiculous what Pat Robertson is saying here. I dont see where he would have gotten the knowledge to make a comment like this but who says what he is saying cant be true. People pray to god daily so what makes it so unbelievable to The Devil is involved in some country's. Perhaps they did have to make a deal which cursed them but I want to see some sort of proof before believing any of it. Its too hard to know if its true or not.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I agree with Amber as well. People have always and will always blame other people, or the devil, for terrible things and things that they cannot explain. Think about the Salem Witch Trials. People were burned at the stake for doing something that could not be explained in any other ways. Humans simply need a way out, and need someone to blame. When they cannot blame the earth, they look for something else, in this case the devil.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I agree with lvs, robertson is ridiculous and his comments are even more so. Although he does deserve a voice, like anyone else, this comment shouldnt have been made. You can not blame the devil for everything that goes wrong in society. Nature is the cause of this earthquake.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I agree with peter because the guy comes out of nowhere with all this, but its not sure that you can prove hes lying. Yeah its easy to pick on heiti because they are poor and had a terrible earthquake but that certainly doesn't mean they made a pact with the devil. If he knows something we all don't know then its possible.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I'm with Lyla. I think this is rediculous.

    ReplyDelete
  83. i agree with zthorei. the religion of heiti doesn't revolve around the devil at all so how could they make a deal with the devil to be free. its impossible to make a deal with a devil if there is no devil. if they had made a deal with the devil a religion involving the devil would be more prominent in the island.

    ReplyDelete
  84. i dont believe he sold his soul to the devil.I also dont believe haiti revolves around the devil. It was just something that was meant to be

    ReplyDelete
  85. i also agree with owen, with all this happening this is not what Haiti needs right now. They are in a crisis and need help not some man saying "well you did make a pact with the devil...". What Haiti need right now is help not a reason why this happened

    ReplyDelete
  86. in response to everyone:

i feel like we are simply giving this man too much unneeded attention that he does not deserve at all. It is not something that we should just ignore, but the fact that people are getting stressed over it is a little ridiculous. The man is a performer (Zoe) and nothing more than that at. His job is to entertain people, not make certified statements that have any backing at all.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I think that the comment that he made about Haiti making a pact with the devil and that is why the earth quake happened to them is a horrible thing to say. What made it even harder to watch- to me was the interviewer because all she did was agree to everything that he was saying. If you are a good interviewer you should ask follow up questions.

    ReplyDelete
  88. as I was saying before the bell rang yesterday, Pattinson should have really thought about this before he said it. To say sure highly contraversal statements he should of taken the time to figure out the facts instead of rambling on and ending with "or something...."

    ReplyDelete
  89. in response to Caroline and Peter
I agree completely and also agree that what we need to do is just help the people get aid quickly.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I agree with Peter because a.) half of those things I said out loud and b.) Pat Robertson isn't anyone important. He's just one of many Christian TV personalities that forms his own nutty opinions that no one really needs to be taking seriously. It would be one thing if our president or someone in his cabinet said this, but he's basically just amped up his fame for 15 minutes and now he's probably going to lose many viewers on the 700 Club.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I think it rediculouse how he tells the story of the people making a pact with the devil. How does he know that? Was he there? I don't think God is cursing them or punishing them, their country is the way that it is due to natural disasters and their own lack of inspiration to develope the thier country into something more than what it is. Yes the domincan republic is prosperous and Hadi is poor but many countries started out poor but they created inventions to make the country better. I don't know where I'm going with this, but I think he needs to stop talking about the people of Hadi because the devil can't set people free he can only put them in bondage. But then again I don't know some people of Hadi practice vudu and stuff like that. But I don't think the entire country is cursed or anything I think they'd be in this predicament regardless.

    ReplyDelete
  92. in response to peter:

We have to give it attention. This is for a grade haha

    ReplyDelete
  93. You know the earthquake would've happened regardless of the people's actions it's a natural disaster.

    ReplyDelete
  94. i agree with claire's response to lvs. Robert obviously never learned about how earthquakes work.

    ReplyDelete
  95. this guy has a time and place, it just doesn't have anything to do with me. I'm sure he is a source of whatever for certain people, but besides them, people have no need to give this guy any attention.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I found this video clip was very interesting. Mr. Robertson made some good points to back up his believe that Haiti is cursed. I never knew that back in the day the people of Haiti worshiped the devil. I always wondered why people sterotyped Haitian people as being witches and possesed by the devil. I wonder if the people feel that they are being punisghed for going against God.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Reading everyone else's responses, I feel very naive because I believe the man and I don't really know why...

    ReplyDelete
  98. o.k so the guy is really stupid, and he should have never said what he said. Hatians practice voodoo, also known as Obia, and thats their religion. A pact with the devil? Really tho.? 101. I change my mind now...thinking about it after reading everyone else's responses He didn't state any sources of where hes getting all of his information from. I guess this is a lesson for me to get educated before I believe what other peoples say...

  102. That clip was radiculose for 1 haiti is on top of a fault line which explains the earthquake this has nothing to do with the devil its just a geographically unsafe place like some parts of California 2 the reason that the country is not as prosperous as the Dominican Republic is due to the corruption of the Government.

  103. Rasheed, that link does not prove ur point so get ya facts straight. There is no proof once again that Haiti worshiped the devil sorry but if u believe in this you are stupid point blank

  104. To Peter
Pat Robertson is a voice, albeit a crazy one, that many people listen to and unfortunately, follow his directives. He is a type whose ideas insinuate themselves into the minds of fearful individuals who often feel powerless in terms of the world and their own lives. Robertson has the potential to stir up more than just verbal controversy. Robertson has the power to flame prejudice and ignorance. More than a few conflagrations have started from this breed that under the guise of high religious morals have caused much suffering and death for humanity.

  105. I believe that this whole pact to the devil reasoning behind what has happened to haiti is a bunch of bullshit. why does some type of religiin factor always have to come up when some huge disaster hits? why cant it be mother nature doing what she needs to do? or why cant it be left to science that hait is located near some hotspot and earthquakes are bound to happen? either way who cares about the reasoning behind it? play the blame game wont help any f the people who are dieing or who have already lost their lives and it sure as hell isnt going to help rebuild haiti.

  106. I agree with dennis that the reason behind the poverty in haiti is not because of the damn devil or anything like that but becuase of the corrupt government... i believe that if the haitians had accepted some type of help from the europeans centuries ago then they would be way more asvanced and well off then they were when the earthquake hit... but that a whole different matter :)

  107. I agree with stalsia, when it comes to the issue of religion, noone will ever be right and noone will ever be wrong. this is an ongoing issue and battle that we all know has been going on since the beginning of time and it will probably continue to go on so i think that people should just not bring it up and save a lot of people the time of arguing their opinions when it comes to religion

  108. This saddens me but for the feeble minded this is what they'll believe. I wonder how he would feel if his family was killed and someone, say the president, openly declares that this tragedy happened because of his sinful affiliations? How would he feel?

  109. Rasheed:
Not everyone is a conservative Christian.
There are many denominations of Christianity.
If you want to say the what Pat Robertson has is factual then you need to show all of us the valid, historian approved, Primary and Secondary sources. If you cannot provide such information, then its best you bow out of this discussion with your aforementioned "facts".

  110. Asonte:

You are a perfect example of how he influences people. using a persuading voice, almost trustworthy and soothing in a paternal way. Claiming his words to be "facts", his voice filled with confident fervor as if a deity or "other spirit" were backing him. He's a seasoned televangelist who knows all the tricks. His approach is how draws many in. It's a business and the delivery is the most important thing.

This is why you need to do your research. When someone makes such blatant, harmful attacks, then you, as the customer to such information, need to do your research. Its pertinent because you ability to discern fact from fiction is put into play.

If you're naive, then this is the time to work on your perception abilities. To not be swayed by emotion but to use logic and take advantage of the thinking process. This is when you need to learn. To discern truth from lies. So that you're not swept away by your naivety.
