There are no additional blog posts assigned today. Anything you have completed has been recorded. There are lots of gaps! Today is the last opportunity to finish up this week's responses.
MIDTERM is NEXT THURSDAY. It will consist of a series of facts that you will turn into a well-written article, through which you will demonstate that you understand how to write a solid lead and incorporate quotes. As with an actual deadline, you'll have one class period.

i agree and disagree. I feel that the mayor should not have too much power. He might abuse that authority which can cause problems in the systems. Then again i think change is good sometimes. Alot of people disagree with how the city school district is so maybe we need a change. For example, we had our first black president which was a good change.
ReplyDeletemaya i agree with you when you say maybe we do need a change!
ReplyDeletei agree with travisha!
ReplyDeletei disagree with the whole way that the RCSD is handling the situation. Biazzare was having success with his new system. he had a lower drop out rate than the superintendent; that doesnt mean the schools were still struggling with other areas. mayor duffy should try to work together with the board, not try to serpreate the relationship. it shows in the article that recent cities that had a mayor run the schools didnt have success. the school board and the mayor should work together and not make the city become worse than great.
